SignalScope ("the App") is an informational stock-signals dashboard. This policy explains what
data we handle and why. We keep it deliberately minimal — the App has no user accounts
and does not ask for your name, email, or financial-account details.
What we collect
On your device (not sent to us): your watchlist and
alert threshold, saved locally on your device. These stay on the device unless you
enable notifications.
Sent to our server:
Ticker symbols you look up, so the server can fetch market data for them.
If you enable push notifications: a device push token plus
your watchlist and alert threshold, so the server can notify you
when a watched ticker crosses your threshold.
We do not collect your name, email, address, contacts, photos, precise location,
or any brokerage/financial-account information. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Third parties we share data with
To provide the App we send requests to:
Market-data providers (Finnhub,
Polygon.io) — to retrieve quotes, price history, analyst
data, and news. These requests come from our server, not your device, so these
providers do not receive your device identifiers.
Expo push service (Expo / 650 Industries) — to deliver push notifications to
your device token, if you enable notifications.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. The App contains no
third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data retention
Locally stored data (watchlist, threshold) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Device push tokens and associated watchlist/threshold are retained on our server only while the
device is registered for notifications, and are removed when you unregister.
Your choices
Turn off notifications in the App or your device settings to stop sending your
push token and watchlist to the server.
Delete your data: uninstalling the App removes local data. To remove a
registered device from our server, disable notifications in the App or email us at
lukebiley@me.com.
UK / EU data protection
Where UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies, our lawful basis for the limited processing above is your
consent (for notifications) and our legitimate interest in operating the App. You have the right to
access or delete your data — contact us at lukebiley@me.com.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be surfaced
in the App.
